Kate Schwach spent the first 12 years of her career as a transportation engineer working primarily on civil improvements for roadway projects. This includes design experience in roadway, interchange, bicycle facilities, multi-modal implementation, pedestrian safety, park-and-ride facilities, phasing plans, drainage systems, and hydrology studies. Kate’s experience includes projects for a wide range of federal, state, and local municipalities. Through her work with multiple aspects of roadway design and with a variety of clients, she has developed the professional ability to adapt to different client needs while also understanding a wide range of design requirements. She is driven by the opportunity to apply her diverse background of transportation engineering to analyze and create traffic engineering solutions for the client and the community.  Kate earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
