Chris Sobie, PE, PTOE, PMP | Senior Transportation Engineer
Chris Sobie brings a decade of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). His career spans government, consulting, and the vendor space, with two years in government, two years in the private sector as a vendor, and six years as a consultant. Chris has worked extensively on transportation safety studies, traffic engineering design, traffic studies, and traffic operations projects, helping communities enhance mobility and improve roadway safety. His expertise includes signal systems, corridor studies, and advanced traffic management solutions, leveraging technology and data-driven approaches to solve transportation challenges. His leadership and contributions to the industry have been recognized by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), earning the Transportation Professional of the Year award from the Colorado/Wyoming ITE Section in 2023 and being named an ITE Young Leader to Follow in 2022. Outside of work, Chris enjoys trail running, biking, snowboarding, and exploring the outdoors.
